Written By: Vanessa Dueñas The 2022 VAAS girls' golf team had a rough start due to some transportation issues, but finished the season off strong in late October. Their coach, Mr. Loscos has a goal every year to, “get enough players to field a team, and have them enjoy the sport once they begin playing.”
The girls were able to practice once a week at Knollwood Country Club, where Coach Loscos would have them start with putting routines on the practice greens, and finish off by heading over to the driving range. The girls did great every match as they played several holes as a group. First-time golfers were able to put newly found skills to the test. Loscos says that he was amazed by the potential of these girls and that he believes “… a couple of these girls could become decent scratch golfers with some more practice and experience.” Overall, the VAAS 2022 girls' golf season was a success. Mr. Loscos shared his hopes that the girls enjoyed their season enough to come back again next year. |
